In 2019, Doctor Sleep  the official sequel to The Shining – was released, based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King. The film was directed by Mike Flanagan, and stars Ewan McGregor as Jack’s son, Dan Torrance. Doctor Sleep explores Dan’s life as an adult, dealing with terrifying memories and protecting a young girl with special abilities.
2. There is no The Shining 2
